*Review* Discovery Mexican Kits

We love spicy food in our house especially fajita wraps, so when we took delivery of a couple of Discovery Mexican kits we couldn’t wait to get tasting!

We received the Enchilada Kit and the Fajita Kit – crispy crumb to taste test.

So far we’ve managed to try the Fajita Kit – crispy crumb. The kit itself is in small slim box which holds 8 plain flour tortillas (rolled in the box), soured cream and the crispy crumb coating. So all you need to supply for this kit is your choice of filling (meat, vegetables or fish) and some salad.

This is the first time I’ve tried to cook with the crispy crumb coating kit and its made slightly different to the season and sauce mix we normally use.

It is still a very simple kit to use. Simply prepare your main ingredient into slices and coat in the crumb mixture with a little oil and then into an oven to bake whilst your prepare your salad and wraps.

The coating on the chicken came out lovely and crispy, not soggy like I feared it may. Also the coating had a lovely spicy kick to it but it was not too spicy so the whole family could enjoy it. The wraps as always were lovely and soft and finished of the meal nicely.

The kits retail at £3.19 which is a really reasonable amount considering you only require a few more ingredients to complete the meal.
