*Review* TU at Sainsbury’s Back to School

With the new term almost upon us, we were very lucky to receive some of the TU at Sainsbury’s Back to School range.

Kayleigh is back in pre-school for her final year and with Ethan soon to join her I was keen to try out the supermarket school ranges.

Lets face it, as parents school time can be one of the most expensive times of the year. With school uniforms and new shoes to buy it can be a worrying time financially for parents, which is why I love our supermarkets bringing out great quality school wear at even better prices.

I recently read that it can cost parents up to £150 to kit children out for school. Which I can understand with bags/coats/clothes and pencil cases etc but Sainsburys can help you kit out a 3-5 year old with 2 uniforms consisting of a 2 pack of sweatshirts (from £3), a 2 pack of skirts/trousers (from £4) and a 3 pack of polo shirts (from £3) - only £10 for 2 uniforms.

We received trousers, polo shirts and a jumper for Ethan and Skirt, polo shirt and cardigan for Kayleigh. All everyday school essentials also at great prices.

All of their uniforms have little features that make our lives as mum’s easier!

  • Non-Iron Shirts – Treated fabric, taped seams and improved collar shape ensure shirts have a smoother appearance after washing. Time spent ironing could be reduced by an hour a week for parents, that’s almost a working week of time saved over the school year!
  • Perfect Crease™ and Permanent Pleats - Boys’ trousers are finished with a resin on the centre fold to ensure creases hold throughout washing and wearing. Pleats on woven skirts retain a sharp look no matter how many hours of classes and assemblies kids sit through.  Sainsbury’s uniforms stay looking their best without endless ironing.
  • Secured HemsHems on woven trousers are secured with a strong, fusible thread that ensures minimal mending for mum!

Both Kayleigh and Ethan have been running around and climbing in their uniforms so far (including pretending to be dogs) and so far so good. What I really love is the little detailing that come with the uniform. Of course the fact they save me time and are durable is big hits but the whole uniforms are just fantastic.

Even though they are durable they are still soft and wash up brilliantly. So gorgeous school uniforms at great prices that will last, what more could you want?!

They look so smart! I tend to buy the t-shirts and trousers from Asda. They’re great! When my little lad was in nursery, I made the mistake of buying him the school logo t-shirts. £12.99 each, and they were terrible quality, and didn’t wash very well. The Asda ones are just super! Aww they just grow up too fast :(

Both my two uniform policy allowing (daughter needs blazer they don’t sell) wear Sainsburys Tu range for school…Spotted a boys blazer there last week so when my son makes that leap to High next August he should hopefully be head to foot in TU..So far they have worn very well (they have been back to school almost 3 weeks) and I am really pleased.
