I am the world’s worst dieter I’m sure. If there is a diet out there I can guarantee I’ve probably tried it, from the ones local to shakes and smoothie detox.
Over the last few years I have tried them, stuck to them for a few days (if I’m lucky) and then fallen off them again.
When I was younger and until my early 20’s my weight was never an issue, I ate what I want and nothing every changed. I just could not put weight on, even after having Kayleigh I was back in my pre-pregnancy jeans within a few months without a diet in site.
Then after having Ethan everything has changed. I only have to look at a doughnut to gain 2lb….
With the lack of willpower, pretty much non-existent in my brain, I need to find a way to watch what I eat without feeling like I am punishing myself.
There are a few things I have learnt from my past diet disasters:
- I don’t like being told I can’t have something, that makes it worse in my mind and I start to crave everything I am not allowed
- I’m too lazy to make meals for me and then different ones for everyone else.
- I don’t like feeling like I am going hungry.
- I am too tight to buy clothes the next size up and I would rather lose a few lbs than spend any £!
The Diet Plate is looking like it will be a huge help for me in my bid to get to a weight that I am comfortable in as it doesn’t affect any of the above!
There is no weighing out as it is clearly visible how much you should have on your plate in terms of carbs, protein etc. There is no hiding from overeating when it comes to this plate. Studies show you are 6 times more likely to lose weight with The Diet Plate rather than going it alone.
So, in a few months’ time we are going away for our first holiday in a while and our friend’s wedding. This is my first goal to lose some weight. I have a target in mind I would like to make for this and with the help of my Diet Plate I am hoping to get there with no stress.
I will update you all in a few weeks as to how I am finding it and how my weight loss is going.
