Dogs, they are more than just pets, they are family #ImRaisedByHumans

It’s that time of the year where we are reminded that dogs are for life, not just for Christmas and it is true.

Those who follow us on Instagram are probably aware we have 2 dogs. Earlier in the year we lost our beloved Lola, our lab. It was a shock to everyone, especially our husky Red as they had both grown up together from puppies.

At that point we never really thought about getting another dog until we decided in June to get our pug Daisy, it is like she has always been part of the family.

Now our dogs are probably a little bit spoilt. We give them a bit too much freedom at time and that has earned Daisy the title occasionally of Daisy the Devil dog!

With that in mind, our house is littered with dog toys everywhere and they both probably sleep better than we do as they sleep wherever they land up!

Daisy recently though was very lucky to be offered the chance to try out a new designer dog bed from Raised By Humans as they are shaping up the dog bed market with their fun approach to dog bed design whilst still including the practical needs and comforts for your furry friends.

Red as he has got older has become more and more particular as to where he sleeps as his joints are aching and he likes to keep warm.

For us, that means we have to think about the beds he sleeps in. As he gets older he needs something a bit more protective on his joints like the memory foam you can get in the Raise By Humans beds.

However, he also needs something we can wash down too, from muddy paws to stinky dog, it has to be practical too!

With Daisy although we want her to sleep in comfort, she is also a dog with a bit of attitude and the fun prints you can get with the beds are perfect for her! Combined with all the other great features you can’t go wrong.

A good designer dog bed has to have all of these things rolled in to one. You want it to have a great design however it also needs to be combined with the necessary design features suitable for dogs.

That means it needs to be long lasting, with toys and paws all over it constantly it needs to be hardy! Then it needs to be comfortable, if you are resting and sleeping in the same place for 12 hours a day you want it to be comfortable. The last thing is it has to be waterproof, dogs & winter is just not a good combination!

So, if you are thinking of getting a dog and have really thought about the pro’s and cons that come with having one as pet. Please take time to think about the other things they need such as somewhere comfortable to sleep and relax. Don’t forget also you can find Daisy and all her adventures over on Instagram!
