Do you have a child that loves to draw? BIC is looking for the next artist to grace the billboards up and down the UK with their artwork.
In a recent BIC® KIDS survey, they found three quarters of parents have kept the first arts and crafts item their child ever created for them. Also nearly a quarter (23 per cent) even resort to scanning or photographing every masterpiece!
The BIC Kids Young Artist Award 2019 closes this Sunday at 11.59pm and they are giving one lucky artist the chance to have their artwork go big all over the UK. All they need to do to enter is to create their masterpiece on a landscape piece of A4 paper and then ask their parent or legal guardian to upload it onto the BIC website to enter them.
There are a few rules that need to be adhered to though:
Children must be aged 5 – 11 years old
- Must be drawn on a plain piece of landscape A4 paper
- Drawings must be done in pencil, felt tip or crayon
- Must be original artwork that does not include any recognised characters or logos
- Only 1 entry per child
The expert judging panel will select regional winners from all the entries and their artwork will be displayed on the billboards between Monday 26th August and Sunday 8th September. Each regional finalist will receive lots of new colouring pencils and pens.
Once they are on display the public will vote for their favourite and that artist will be named the overall champion. Again, their artwork will be back up on display between Monday 23rd September and Sunday 6th September October. Plus, they will win a great selection of BIC goodies and an art party!
Kayleigh loves drawing, in fact, she draws most days in her notebook. She has already decided that she will take art in high school before she even makes it to high school! Now I know she may change her mind; however, she finds drawing and colouring very relaxing and it seems to come naturally to her (unlike me!).
