Kayleigh’s skin is awful and has been since she was a baby. We’ve been back and forth to the doctors getting various creams and lotions for it but its never really settled just come and gone so when we was offered the chance to try this we jumped at the chance. They don’t claim it clears eczema but mention it can help, with the natural ingredients its can only be good for little sensitive skin. Its also organic ingredient certified with 81% organic ingredients.
We’ve been using this for over a week now at bath time for both of the children using it as both a soap and a shampoo. The fact it has no scent is great as i find some bath products can be a bit too overpowering especially on younger children.
I have found that with both of mine after using this it has made their skins incredibly soft and their hair soft and shiny. It is also great at actually cleaning them too, as the colour of the bath water was to prove many a time!
It retails for £6.89 per 150ml so more than the big brands in the supermarket retail for but you do not need to use anywhere near as much of this product whilst you use it but also i have found it so much better for their skin. Not just Kayleigh but Ethan also. To me this is really a case of quality over quantity and you notice the difference in using a better quality product.
Kayleigh’s skin has started to improve. Although her eczema is still there its settled the best it has for a long time and is much less visible – this could also be down to the other product we have been trying :
With Kayleigh’s skin being as bad as it can get sometimes the lovely Romy at Green People suggested we give their Baby Salve a go. So as soon as it arrived we started using it once in the morning and once in the evening before bed.
Not only is it suitable on sensitive skin to help with eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis but is also water resistant so can be used to help treat nappy rash and cradle cap. Its also 96% certified organic with no nasties 🙂
It is also good for mums with sore cracked nipples and recently won “Best Eco Friendly Breast Treatment 2011” – awarded by midwives and mums.
The salve has a lovely hint of lavender but its not too overpowering which is nice. The salve itself isn’t a cream more like a grease type gel which is really easy to get out the tube. Its so simple and quick to apply and doesn’t leave greasy skin once rubbed in. I’ve found a big difference in Kayleigh’s skin, its taken the spots on her checks down so they are hardly noticeable.
I also found that one day Ethan had nappy rash just before bed so put a little of this on and his nappy rash was gone by the morning. It goes a long way in terms of how ofter we us it as we still have loads to left in our 30ml tube.
I am so impressed with this product that once this sample has run out i will be placing an order for more. I would much rather use this on Kayleigh’s skin that the chemical version from the doctors.
It can be purchased from Green People for £9.70 for 100ml, £3.35 for 30ml and £2.85 for a 7ml Trial version. Now i personally think this is a very reasonable price for the product you get especially for the multi uses it has.
