Starting Off with the Mutu System

So here we go, we’re on the way with our healthy eating and starting the Mutu System today!

I admit, I am excited and nervous at the same time. The intention was to lose a few pounds and tone, I wasn’t intending on much until I got on the scales today but now I would like to lose about 1  stone and to tone up. That is the main thing for me, I want to feel a bit more like my old self, not so embarrassed by my tummy which looks the way it does. I am by no ways over weight but i admit to being a bit shocked when i got on the scales today to find out I am the heaviest I have been since I was pregnant with Ethan. I am now the heaviest I have ever been whilst not pregnant by nearly 2 stone.

So my focus is my toning, I want to have a tummy that sort of resembles a pre-baby tummy, not quiet so wobbly but most importantly I want to be able to do my trousers up without them cutting into my stomach and when I take them off I don’t want to have an imprint of my trouser line on my tummy but at the same time I’m refusing to cut my losses and by the next size up!

Also today all the processed food went into the bin, there is now no chocolate or crisps in this house. Nor is there any pre-made jars or processed food, its simply fresh food only and home cooked by me so I know whats going in it. We’ve even prepped all the salad bits and are ready for lunch making without the excuse of, oh I haven’t got time or I don’t know what I want.

I’m planning on doing my Mutu System exercises daily as by the guide plus doing a 25 minute exercise class on my Wii Zumba whilst trying to eat healthy. I have a few major flaws when it comes to my eating, chocolate, fizzy drink and take aways. I am always boredom eating at work which normally includes a can of coke and a bar of chocolate. Plus we can go through a ridiculous amounts of fizzy drink at home. This is why my body is in the condition it is today.

I haven’t always been unfit. I used to be a cross country runner and a long distant track runner at school being a size 8 till I was early 20’s then I was a comfortable 10 after having Kayleigh and this is where i want to get back to.

I know its not going to be easy, I will probably lose the good intentions at some point with my exercising and wanting to binge on food but this is why i am blogging. I think this is the motivation I need, its out there for everyone to see, I cant back out now and this year is the year this household get fit!

So there you have it. This is the start of a new post baby body for me. I’m sure some of you reading it will be thinking, you don’t need to lose anything etc but I do. I’m doing this for me, I want to feel comfortable in my own skin like I did prior to Ethan so I need to do this for me. I hope I can reach my target and get to a place I’m confident in and maybe even inspire others just to make those little changes to give themselves a big change.

So this time next week I will be letting you know how I got on, what yummy food we ate that were also healthy and how I feel about myself 1 week later 🙂
