It’s that time of the year again, all the chat is about what people are going to wear to the numerous parties and dinners that happen at this time of the year. More importantly what dress or sparkle they are going to wear!
If your like me you like to blend in with the crowd you dread this part of the year! Everything in the shops is bright, bold and glittery.
However how many of you want to be the one that stands out in the crowd but are lacking confidence? It’s not too late to start!
With just a few simple steps you can start to find yourself and that inner confidence just in time for the festive season!
- It’s not too late to get fit. Why not look at finding a gym near you that you can start the new you! Even if you’re not keen on working out on the equipment to begin with most gyms have classes such as Zumba and aerobics that you can join in with. The motivation of others around you will spur you on.
- Set yourself small targets. There is no point in saying you want to drop 4 dress sizes in 4 weeks as realistically it wont happen healthily. Set a target you know you can reach and go for it. Nothing motivates you more than reaching those targets and seeing results.
- Water is your new friend. Making sure you drink plenty of water throughout the day is a great step. Not only does is refresh your skin it also helps you hunger pangs throughout the day. Many times you can grab something to eat however you’re not really hungry but more thirsty (or bored!)
- Portion control! If you’re not a diet fan (I’m not!) then watch your portions. I have learnt so much on my Weight Watchers journey about how much I was over eating. I could easily eat 3 times the portion of rice or pasta that I should have been eating. Carbs are known to bloat too so try to minimise the amount of these you intake daily to reduce bloating.
