Back to school with Capri-Sun & our Lunchbox Ideas

With the return to school less than 2 weeks away we are getting ready for the first day back. Once the school uniform is sorted our next purchase is the lunch box! Ethan is going for school dinners this year but Kayleigh had decided to stick with her packed lunch so that means we are back to the basics of what to put in the lunch box. I always try to go for the healthy lunchbox ideas and thankfully the kids love that.

I headed to Tesco’s this week to get ready for the return to school and take part in the #CapriSunSchool campaign with #CollectiveBias.

In our lunch boxes I tend to go with the following:

  • Sandwich/Wrap
  • Fruit
  • Yoghurt
  • Cheese product
  • Drink

From here though it is easy to have a bit of a pick and mix really!

Kayleigh tends to stick with a jam sandwich for lunch, don’t ask me why! However we do mix it up sometimes and have a cheese spread and ham sandwich at times!

Yoghurts and cheese product tends to be whatever is on offer and fruit is dependant on time! If we don’t have time its something out of the fruit bowl however if we do have time I go for a little fruit salad dependant on what we have but usually its strawberries, grapes and blueberries.

We are very lucky, although Kayleigh and Ethan are not keen on vegetables they do love their fruit and will eat pretty much all of what is on offer.

Drinks are also important as I hate things that are full of additives for Kayleigh and Ethan as it sends them into a sugar induced mad mode! Capri-Sun however are perfect as they have no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and are available in 8 delicious flavours: Orange, Blackcurrant, Summer Berries, Apple, Tropical, Apple & Cherry, Mango, Safari.
