With so many celebrations at the beginning of the year our latest bundle of goodies from Baker Ross came at just the right time. We couldn’t wait to start on the crafts items we received.
Our latest box of items is perfect for Valentines day (14th February) and Mother’s Day (6th March) and the kids couldn’t wait to get started.
The got straight to the large picture frames and the wooden heart decorations. I let them both have the chance to get creative on these both and design something they wanted to hang on their own doors. I love the idea of the picture frames as they are perfect for being hung up so they both took their time to create their own masterpiece to display.
Kayleigh created a love heart but she decided to tell herself how great she was! These hearts can be designed on both side and flipped over which Kayleigh did.
One of my favourite items we received this time round was the lanterns. Kayleigh created her’s with a different colour paper on each side which is great and we are going to get some battery candles to put in it. They were super simple to create with the little details pre cut and ready to pop our which meant Kayleigh was able to glue the tissue paper and lantern together on her own.
We also got our self portraits done today which the kids loved doing, Ethan was really proud of his and loved the face that the shape was pre-cut so he could just add his features to it. Kayleigh finished hers with a sparkly headband with the stick on gems.
Both Kayleigh and Ethan have loved being about to get crafty over the last couple of weeks. If you are looking for something for your little ones to make this Valentines day or for Mothers day you should definitely look at the lanterns of the wooden hearts as they are great keepsakes.
They have plenty of crafts material to keep them going for a while.
