*Review* Rory’s Story Cubes

Today’s review from our Asmodee UK – Blogger Board Game Club series is Rory’s Story Cubes. It is completely different from any other game we have received over the last 12 months.
Rory’s Story Cubes is designed to encourage everyone’s imagination. With limited rules in the box, the only restriction is your imagination.

You receive 9 dice, with different images on each one. The story teller rolls all 9 dice at once, these are the starting block for your stories. Using 3 dice for the beginning of the story, 3 for the middle and 3 for the end of the story. There is no restriction on how long your story can be or what it should be about. It is all about letting your creativity flow. It is then down to the story teller to bring the story to life.

Rory's Story Cubes - Review

The game is aimed at children aged 6 and over and I’ve found it a great way to encourage the kids to be a little bit more imaginative. There is no right or wrong with the stories you tell, it should be about how you imagine things to be.

If you have a child who is not a fan of reading or maybe lacking confidence then these are sure to be a big hit, with my two I have been encouraging them to create the stories from what they see. If they want to make a funny story or scary story, that is fine too. It is all how they see the story creating.

Rory's Story Cubes - Review

Although it is a different game to what we are used to this has been a big hit as it has allowed the kids to do a little free thinking rather than stick to the normal rules. It is also very compact so great for those long car journeys or trips.

With an RRP of £9.99 you can find it here on Amazon or at most major retailers.
