Happy Monday and welcome back to our weekly meal plan.
Last week there was no meal plan, simply because we were so poorly we hardly had anything to eat! We are now mostly back to feeling well again and unfortunately back to work and school today. It seems we always get poorly when we are off work.
We are going to get back in the kitchen and start baking again for our own snacks, I want to focus on more recipes on the blog in the coming months as it is a hobby I love. The kids are keen to make some more cake pops and even venture into making their own chocolates over Easter, so we’ve been looking at a chocolate moulds supplier to get us started.
Over the last few days, I have done a little audit of what is in our freezer so we can start using up some of the bits that have been there a while. We are still going to have simple family favourites this week though as we ease back into the working week.
Our meal plan – 06/01/20
Pizza and dough balls – First day back at work and Kayleigh has a class after school so we are going simple tonight.
Spaghetti and meatballs – Looking forward to this one, getting back into the routine of home-cooked meals.
Chicken supreme – Again I have a meal kit in the cupboard to use up on this.
Sausage & mash – Simple but delicious, can’t wait for this one.
Chicken curry – We are cheating tonight with a jar of curry sauce, but it will be delicious none the less.
Chilli con Carne – Already in the freezer so just needs to be reheated.
Roast – This will be dependant on what we can get from the shopping this week.
We are going to be trying out a few new meals in the coming weeks, a huge thank you to those who shared on our FB page. I am looking forward to giving some of them a try, alongside some new meals that we have found online.
