Halloween Biscuits – With Baking Mad & Silver Spoon

Our lovely friends at Baking Mad sent us some new Silver Spoon goodies to try out whilst baking.

We received :

  • White Chocolate letters and numbers
  • Easy Melt White & Dark Chocolate
  • Orange Chocolate Buttons
  • Giant Snowies

So we decided as the theme of the month is Halloween we would make some spooky Halloween biscuits. After having a look around the Baking Mad website we came across a this recipe in their Halloween theme. We used the biscuit recipe to make the biscuits but changed the decorating part to incorporate our yummy products.

The biscuits themselves were very yummy on their own but we decided to use our great new Silver Spoon goodies. So we melted the orange chocolate buttons for the pumpkins, really easy to use and tasted very nice.

Next we used the Easy Melt chocolate for the ghosts and tomb stones, these are very easy to use. You simply put them in a jug of warm water (still in the packaging) for about 7 minutes then cut the packaging and pour over what you would like to use it on. We had also baked some fairy cakes so used this on them too. They would be great on a big cake too as it pours so easily and is very easy to work with. Once its cooled it goes hard again like chocolate so is a massive hit in this house!

We used both the white chocolate letters and giant snowies for decorations on both the cakes and biscuits.

As you can see the new Silver Spoon baking items can be used creatively (granted i need a bit of work on my spider decorations!) but they are delicious!
