So we’ve done it & come out the other side, our week of fundraising is over and what a week its been!
Firstly we attended Race For Life, it was the first time I had participated since having children so I knew I would be knackered after. Kayleigh was a trooper though and walked/run pretty much the whole way!
It was an amazing day and we managed to raise an amazing £215.00 for Cancer Research, there is still time to make a donation if you would like on our Just Giving page.
Then Wednesday came & it was possibly my biggest challenge. I had my Made For Mum’s neighbourhood stand at the local Picnic in the Park to promote the site (please pop over & say hi if your local!) then I decided to raise money for Keech Hospice.
At first I thought I could maybe do a little tombola or raffle depending on what I could get hold of. So being in the fortunate position with my blog of working with so many amazing brands over the last year I thought I would see if any of them would be able to help me out.
I couldn’t have dreamt for a better response. So many lovely companies came forward to offer me prizes for the event that I was completely overwhelmed with support. I ended up with so many lovely prizes that I could even do a raffle and a tombola. As word got out about the stand and the amazing prizes on offer we got swamped by people wanting to have a go, if it wasn’t for my mum and sister I don’t think I would have coped!
In the end we sold out of tombola prizes & the raffle also did well.
We managed to raise a fantastic £222.50 for Keech Hospice, plus I donated a BigJig’s train set which arrived too late for the event (my mistake, it was due to be delivered to my mum’s but in my haste I put my address down & even got that wrong having it posted 10 houses down!).
We dropped all money raised and the train set to Keech Hospice on Friday morning which was a great feeling to be giving something back to such an amazing cause.
This would not have been possible if it wasn’t for a whole host of people and companies helping me & I would like to take this opportunity to say a HUGE thank you to them!

I’ll leave you all with some pictures taken on the day. Same place next year if anyone would like to help 😀
