*Review* Degustabox

This month I was offered the chance to review a Degustabox, which is a monthly surprise box of food goodies.

However unlike most other subscription boxes, the Degustabox comes with full size products.

In our May box we received:

Raw chewing gum £0.99 each
Cirio Passata – £1.35
Cirio Puree – £1.10
Hornby’s cider, Crisp Apple Cider, Strawberry & Lime Cider – £5 for 4
Cawston Apple drink £1
Kettle Sweet Potato Chips – sweet chilli £2.49
Taylors of Harrogate tea bags £2.99
Lizi’s Granola £1.29
Garofalo Pasta £1.89
Elizabeth Shaw Flutes £2.59
Dr. Oetker Cake Release Spray £2.28

This comes to a grand total of £21.46.

Your monthly subscription to Degustabox, £12.99 including postage. There is no commitment, just let them know before the 10th you want to cancel and your order is cancelled.

I loved receiving our box and finding out what we had to try out, it’s a great way to find new products you might not have normally brought.

I have to say the sweet potato chips were delicious and went down well with the can on Dawson apple drink.

Using up some of the other ingredients I made myself a yummy pasta dish:

Pasta with a chilli & tomato pasta sauce

Chilli – finely sliced
Tomatoes (or Passata) – chunks
Tomato purée – 1 tbs
Courgette – small cubes
Onion – finely sliced
Garlic – crushed

1) Cook the pasta as per instructions
2) In a little oil fry the onion, garlic and chilli until tender
3) Add the tomatoes and leave to simmer for about 5 minutes.
4) Add a tablespoon of tomato purée and a splash of water
5) Drain pasta and add to sauce
6) Sprinkle with cheese and enjoy!
