*Review* Epic Mickey 2 – The Power of Two

Anyone that know’s me will tell you I’m a gaming geek. I mainly play online from my laptop however recently we’ve just purchased an Xbox 360.

Last week we took delivery of Epic Mickey 2 – The Power of Two. Now I’m still not up to playing the computer, however DaddyVsWork is just as much a gaming geek as I am so it didn’t take him too long to try out the new game for me!

The game is set in HD to enhance the game world and bring it to life.

Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit are sent to Wasteland, an alternate world filled with 80 years of forgotten Disney characters and theme park attractions. Throughout the game Mickey uses a magical paint brush that wields paint and thinner, and Oswald has powerful remote control that allows him to command electricity.

The game allows you to play a drop in and out 2 player mode. So is ideal for families with kids that sometimes want to play together and at other times don’t!

It is a puzzle-based game but also has bundles of Disney-inspired music and lyrics. You also get to hear Oswald the Lucky Rabbit for the first time ever!

Epic Mickey 2 is aimed at the 7+ age range and I think this is about right, it’s not scary in any shape or form however it does require a bit of thinking to get through the levels. Kayleigh and Ethan enjoyed watching Daddy playing the game though and seeing Mickey come to life on the screen!

This would make a great game for any youngster or adult alike this Christmas! For more information why not pop over to Game and take a look.
