When Simple heard I was going to be doing a new healthy eating regime in 2012 they got in touch to see if I would be interested in trying out some of their best kept secrets which Simple nutritionist Fiona Hunter has created to help keep you healthy and your skin glow as they packed full of nutrients and vitamins.
They sent me some of their recipe cards to try (all the recipes will be available under the recipe section at the top):
- Apple & Berry Crumble
- Rice Pudding with Apricot & Orange Compote
- Cajun Salmon with Bubble & Squeak and Roasted Tomatoes
- Spanish Chicken with Chorizo & Rice
- Simple Snack Pack
- Griddled Chicken with Lentils
- Caramelised pineapple with Mango Sauce
So we set to task in trying on of trying the apple and berry crumble. Crumbles in this house are a big hit in this house so we couldn’t wait to try something a little different to the normal apple crumble we have. The recipe is very easy to follow and to make.
Why not give these recipes a go, they are easy to do and contain ingredients that you can pick up from most supermarkets. Why not make 2012 the year you look after your skin?
Here are a couple of pictures of our attempt at the apple and blackberry crumble:
