Life doesn’t wait for anyone and neither does our ever-changing skin.
One thing I have noticed since I passed the midway stage of 30 a few years ago was just how much my skin has changed, that is across the whole body, not just my face. Thankfully I have avoided the wrinkles too badly so far but they are coming!
Depology kindly sent over 2 of their serums to give a go, which I have been doing for the last few weeks. Before we jump into my thoughts on them, when you are done, check out this great post on 5 benefits of using a face serum.
Who is Depology?

Matrixyl® 3000 serum
Firstly I received the Matrixyl® 3000 Collagen Boosting serum, which promises firmer skin to help reduce the signs of ageing. After years of research, this formula has been tried and tested, coming out on top of lots of reviews and posts.
You probably have never heard of Matrixyl® 3000, I hadn’t before I received this serum! It is an ingredient that is known to hydrate the skin, whilst combating visible signs of ageing and reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Matrixyl® 3000 is a peptide made up of two proteins, to put it simply. If you’re unfamiliar with the term, a peptide is a protein that serves as one of our cells’ building components. To put this in perspective, peptides are required for stimulating cell activity.
As we get older, our peptides and unable to interact effectively, which is why we get wrinkles and sagging skin. If you are a little out of touch with your skincare routine like I was, they have got this handy how to use Matrixyl® guide.
I have been using this for just over a month now and although I have not had many wrinkles to combat, my skin is looking great. It is soft and as it currently stands, the wrinkles are being kept at bay! It takes minimal effort to add it to my skincare routine and has been a great addition.
I also received a Peptide Complex Serum to try out alongside the Matrixyl® 3000 serum and although they look similar in the bottles, this one is a little more gel-like when you go to use it. This serum has been formatted to target and prevent the formation of fine lines and wrinkles, both serums complement each other and work together to give you the best skin. This serum works hard on hydrating and replenishing the moisture in your skin.
The main ingredient in this serum is Argireline™ , which is a peptide that targets wrinkles and helps to give you smoother skin. Check out these Peptide complex serum Clinical results to help with your decision-making. There are also some great reviews online from doctors and dermatologists across social media.
Now, those who know me will know that I am one who goes for the simplest option when it comes to my skincare, I don’t have the time or effort to make a big push in the mornings, so these are perfect for me.
Since using both products I have noticed an improvement in the texture of my skin, with it feeling smoother and looking healthier, although I haven’t had a chance to use them for the 3 months minimum recommended, I am already seeing the changes.
Alongside the serums, they also offer some creams that include a night mask and wrinkle defence eye cream.
