What’s On at the Echo Arena this Summer

As summer approaches, many of us will be dreaming of holidays abroad and fun days in the sun (when it decides to make an appearance) but that’s not all that the months can hold.

Consider what your evenings can be filled with – the light nights bode well for evenings spent enjoying a bevvie or two in a beer garden, but that’s not where your options end.

Choose to head off on a city break and you can enjoy everything that your chosen city has to offer – both daytime and evening activities.

If you’re planning on a trip to the north of England, take a look at the Travelodge hotels in Liverpool – the city is a perfect spot for a summer break, with the Albert Docks and its thriving music scene attracting thousands every year.

Liverpool’s music scene has long been one of the best in the country – after all, it’s the birthplace of The Beatles! As far as high capacity venues are concerned, the city is home to the Echo Arena and its summer roster is looking pretty impressive!

Dolly Parton – 8th June

The Queen of Country will be thigh-slapping her way onto the Echo stage in June, as part of her Blue Smoke tour. She’s been part of the music scene for decades, with some of her most notable hits being released during the 80s. She’s showing no signs of stopping either, already making a welcome return despite touring the UK in 2011.

Jason Derulo – 23rd June

He’s made quite an impact since his inception into the UK charts in 2009 with his debut single, Whatcha Say. His success continues to flourish, topping the charts in the UK and internationally. Catch him at the Echo and you’ll be able to appreciate his music live, too.

Pop Across the Mersey – 27th June

If you’re lucky enough to bag a ticket to this (chances are, they’ll sell out fast!), then you’ll be in for a real treat! Not only does the event bring the Backstreet Boys to the stage for their adoring fans to drool over, but Kian Egan (of Westlife fame) and Blue will be supporting them as well.

Neil Young and Crazy Horse – 13th July

Neil Young has long been a well-known name within the rock and roll music industry, often being considered as the Godfather of Grunge because of his sheer influence on the genre. If you’ve not managed to see him live before, take the opportunity this summer to do just that, in the heart of Liverpool.

Kylie Minogue – 24th September

She’s been around since the 80s and doesn’t look like she’s aged a bit. Kylie is back on the road once again this year, and will grace the Echo stage as part of her Kiss Me Once tour. The world tour starts in Liverpool, so you’ll have the perfect chance to catch the show before anyone else does.

Don’t forget that the Echo Arena offers hospitality packages for some of its concerts too, so if you want to enjoy the sights and sounds in style, you know what to book!
