Summer is here, it is honest!
Which means most of us will be looking for the shorts/skirts or dresses to keep cool and capture the sun. However if you are like me since having kids my clothes budget is non existant which means I look for key pieces which I can mix up as I go along and get extra items.
So when I was offered the chance to make a summer wardrobe from George using one key piece and creating 3 outfits from it, I jumped at the chance!
I went for a wrap front pencil skirt and then accompanied it from there to create 3 looks, beach look, casual day time look and evening out look. Perfect for taking away on holiday.
Beach day look :
For the beach look other than the skirt the first thing on the list was a bikini and George do a great selection of them but my favourites are the mix and match and these two pieces only came in at £4.50. Teaming this and the skirt up with a simple vest top and flip-flops make it easy and comfortable to wear to and from the beach but also out and about grabbing something to eat or a drink watching the sun over the sea and the warm breeze coming over.
Casual day wear:
When I’m out and about I love to have a wander through the local town and tourist features that they might have wherever we have travelled to. However the heat always gets me so I have gone for a light outfit to keep cool out and about. This bag is my favourite item out of everything I picked. It is perfect for everyday use but looks stylish and sleek. The sparkly flat sandles give the look a little bit of bling (unfortunately I can’t wear them at the minute my ankle is still sore following my accident in the garden a few weeks ago but trust me the look amazing!)
Evening out:
We always make sure we go out for a couple of meals in restaurants whilst we are out on holiday and this last outfit was inspired by this. I wanted something that was nice to wear out but felt like I was wearing a smart outfit without breaking the bank.
I loved the shoes with this outfit, being 5ft 9in I always tend to stay away from heels as I already tower above most people but these are perfect little heels. Teamed with a blazer and lace top they are perfect match with the skirt.
I had a great time making a capsule wardrobe from George and even more so as it all came in over £100 for all the items, yes that includes the 3 pairs of shoes and bag!
Thank you George for giving me the chance to take part in this! My summer wardrobe is set to go 🙂
Wow – what a beautiful skirt, and I love that black blazer! You’ve done a great job hun! I’d love to review products for George x
