I was challenged by Tesco to come up with a dish that originates from a country that was in the Rugby World Cup to take part in their #CelebrateTheNations campaign.
Having a look through the countries I decided to go with a recipe inspired by Scotland.
Now not many people know this through my blog as it’s not really something I have discussed, not for any reason in particular but simply because it’s never come up, I actually have multiple heritage in my family. My mum and her side of the family are Scottish and my granddad on my dad’s side of the family is Hungarian with my nan being English. So plenty of variety on which team to support in sporting events!
Never really attempting any classic Scottish recipes I had to make a quick call to my mum to get a receipt who in turn ended up going to my nan for this one!
I have never heard of Scottish Tablet and had no idea on what its meant to look like or taste like so it was done step by step with the recipe being taste tested by my mum for authenticity!

I have to say it is really yummy but really sweet too! Definitely, one that won’t be too kind to your waistline if you have too much but the perfect end-of-day treat. If you are after some more inspiration for a sweet treat, you can check out more recipes on our blog here or head on over to our Pinterest boards for even more inspiration!
We were provided with some goodies from Tesco to help us produce our recipe
It looks and sounds lovely!
