Tell us a little bit about you & your blog:
My name is Victoria and I’m a busy mum of two young children (4 and 2) who mainly works from home, but also has a part time evening job. I’ve been blogging at www.lyliarose.com for over four years. It’s a UK lifestyle blog full of all sorts of topics I enjoy writing about.
What inspired you to start blogging?
I originally started blogging to increase traffic to my online boutique, but quickly loved blogging and decided to write my lifestyle blog instead of a business related blog. It was the right decision as I love blogging.
What has been your highlight of blogging?
Being able to turn my hobby into an income. I’m still amazed this is even possible and that I’ve managed to do it.
Is there anything you have learnt about blogging which you wish you knew when you started out?
That I could monetize my content and still write about things I am passionate about.
Bloggers sometimes get a lot of stick however many work really hard and are reaping the rewards, what has been the most rewarding part of blogging for you?
Turning it into an income has definitely been rewarding, but interaction from readers is always hugely rewarding. It’s so exciting every time someone comments or shares one of my blog posts.
What would be your 1 tip you would give all new bloggers starting out?
It’s your blog so blog about what YOU want to blog about and enjoy it!
Who do you find inspiring to read/watch in the blogging world?
bleubirdblog.com is one of my favourite blogs.
Lastly – do you have any big plans/dreams for your blog in the next 12 months?
I’d love for it to continue making me an income and to increase my readership.
