It’s the last few weeks to shop before Christmas and there is a lot to be picking from this year.
Here are some of my favourite items that are on the market this year.
If you are looking for something a bit different to gift this Christmas, then I think I may have found it. The Sphero Mini comes from a brand called Sphero, who like to bring technology to everyone.
This clever little robot has interchangeable shells, so you can give it a different look.
However, this is not the clever bit.
Using the Sphero Edu App you can program your mini to do lots of things. You can draw paths for it to follow, write your own JavaScript text programs. Use actions, controls, operators, and more to give your bot the orders.
You can control your Mini using your face!
It is so much technology, cleverly hidden beneath the shell.
This is a great little gadget for kids who love to discover things and embrace technology, let their minds create something amazing.
Retro pocket games –
Do you want to give your kids a blast from the past? This mini retro pocket handheld console has over 100 8-bit games to enjoy, taking you straight back to the ’80s.
You will find it has the basic controls such as the D-pad, A/B buttons, reset, volume, start and power to get you started and it will quickly become addictive.

Glitter Geode Ball Speaker –
For a little more grown-up children, this Glitter Geode Ball Speaker is perfect for music lovers. It is a combination of a mood light and a speak with 3 lighting effects, including a sound responsive mode.
This can work with either Bluetooth or auxin however with so many using Bluetooth these days and streaming music direct from their phone or tablet, this could make the perfect bedroom accessory.

Tobbie the self-guiding AI Robot –
If you are looking for something fun and interactive for the kids but also makes them use their brain a little, then this may be the gift for you. Tobbie is a self-guiding AI robot that needs your help to be built.
Once you have built him, however, the fun does not stop there!
You can either set him to follow mode or explore mode, depending on which you choose he will do either the following, follow a moving object or explore using his AI to ensure he stays safe.
This is a great gift idea for kids and I am sure they would love this over the Christmas period with it leading to hours of fun afterwards.
Fornite range –
Fornite is a big thing in our house with both Ethan and I playing it. The new toys launching just in time for Christmas is going to be a big help for us as I know there will be a couple of things Ethan would love.
From game figures, loot boxes, playsets, environments, game-replica weapons and tools, plush, vehicles, and so much more!

I have seen several reviews of these Magformers sets over the last few months and they look great.
We are always looking to find toys that are interactive but not nessicerally electronic and these look like the perfect items.
With not a battery in site, your little one can build and be as creative as they like with these sets.
Fornite Monopoly
We are huge fans of Monopoly in this house and teaming it up with Fornite was always going to be a winner for us.
This year it seems that Hasbro Game have their fingers on the pulse as it is tipped to be one of the best sellers this Christmas, which is no surprised combining the most popular board game with a top video game!
