Our weekly meal plan – 08/04/19

Good morning and welcome back to our latest meal plan.

This week we are starting our school holidays here, which means time to catch up on the blog and lazy days with the kids. We don’t really have any plans for the next 2 weeks, we are just going to see how things go.

We have almost run our freezer down now and this is probably going to be the last week of using up what we have. I’m going to try and bring a few new meals to the menu if we can, just to mix things up a little bit.

Another thing we are going to be working on is cutting our takeaways and our shopping bill.

The amount we spend on food, be it weekly shopping, top up shops or takeaways, is getting out of control again. We just need to be a little more organised and have a few back up meals in the freezer should we get home from work and decide we are too lazy to cook.

I have also brought myself the new Pinch Of Nom cook book and I can’t wait to try out some of the new recipes in there. For now though, here is our meal plan for the week.

Our meal plan –  08/04/19:

Monday –

Cuban beef in the slow cooker – This is a recipe from the new Pinch Of Nom cook book.

Tuesday –

Steamed fish – Easy to do and should see the last of the fish used up.

Wednesday –

Chilli con carne – I love this recipe as you can have it with rice or turn it into burritos.

Thursday –

Calzones – We never tried them last time so plan to give them a go this week.

Friday –

Dinner out – It is our wedding anniversary so we are out for dinner/late lunch.

Saturday –

Doner kebab – Another meal from the Pinch of Nom book we are going to try.

Sunday –

Roast – We’ve not had one in a while so going to make one this week.

I’m looking forward to this weeks meals and I can’t wait to try out some of the new recipes. If you are still looking for inspiration don’t forget you can check out our previous meal plan here or head over ot our Pinterest for more ideas.
