6 scrumptious homemade soup recipes perfect for Autumn

With the Autumn weather here, lots of us are enjoying scrumptious homemade soup for lunch. This week I made a spicy butternut squash soup in my soup maker and we had it for lunch at work during the week. I have a round up of 6 tasty homemade soup recipes for you to try at home.

You don’t need a soup maker to make soup however I love my Morphy Richards soup maker. It is just so simple to saute and then leave it to cook and smooth with hardly any effort on my part and I know within 25 minutes I will have 4-5 portions of soup for us to enjoy.

Here are 6 scrumptious homemade soup recipes perfect for Autumn from bloggers:

  1. Easy Slow Cooker Butternut Squash Soup – This recipe not only looks amazing but is a great way to use your slow cooker too! Any recipe that makes my life easier is always a winner. This dump and go recipe is perfect for those who are always short on time yet enjoy yummy fresh homemade food.
  2. Creamy carrot soup – I love using carrots in soup, not only as they are tasty but also because we seem to always have some lurking around. This creamy soup recipe sounds amazing and I am going to give it a try this week with our leftover carrots!
  3. Lemon chicken orzo soup – I have never tried orzo, however, it does look delicious. When I am being creative with soup recipes, I should really try and add a little more flavour to our soup other than just using vegetables.
  4. Sweetcorn and leek soup – This soup not only looks amazing however if you are following Slimming World, but it is also syn free. I use leeks in lots of my soups however I have never tried it with sweetcorn so I can’t wait to give this a go.
  5. Winter Minestrone Soup – Minestrone soup is one of my favourite soups. Though I will confess I have never made it from scratch, just out of a tin or carton! This is all going to change though as I am going to give this tasty minestrone soup a try this Autumn.
  6. Ham & sweet potato soup – Sweet potato is one of my favourite root vegetables and it is great in soups. This recipe combines both the sweet potatoes and ham to make the perfect combination for lunch or dinner.

These are all delicious recipes which for us will make a lovely alternative to our usual leek and potato soup we have!
