Mummy vs Work: Streamline Your Life (We Use Cookies)

Our Weekly Meal Plan – 10th February 2025

It’s the last week of term and I think we are all in need of a break, but first, we have 1 more weekly meal plan before the week of laziness can start.

We mostly stuck to last week’s meal plan and had some great dinners, this pizza dough recipe was a huge success and it was delicious, so definitely one to be trying again in the future. The curry night was delicious too with homemade naan breads for the first time.

I am really enjoying cooking again and finding a real passion for cooking things from scratch, so lets hope that it continues! This week we are keeping it simple as there is a lot going on, so we are sticking to some family favourites and easy meals. Then next week I am hoping to add a few new dishes to the menu.

It can’t be just us but I find that we end up stuck in a bit of a rut having the same meals over and over, even though I try to mix it up a little. I am hopeful that we can make some tweaks and find some new dishes to try out.

Our Weekly Meal Plan – 10th February 2025 2

Our weekly meal plan – 10/02/25

Monday –

Homemade doner kebabs and chips – I am using Coleman’s seasoning for the first time, so I will let you know how it turns out.

Tuesday –

Pasta bolognese – We have some leftovers in the freezer, so plan to serve this with some pasta or spaghetti, depending on what we have left in the cupboard.

Wednesday –

Burgers and chips – Popular and quick, so always a winner. I think this may be as people can pick what type of burger they want but also choose toppings and sauces they like.

Thursday –

Burritos – Quick meal to make but also perfect to bulk cook as we always have leftovers, so planning to make enough for a few meals and freeze.

Friday –

Steak & chips – Valentine’s date at home, served with mushrooms, tomatoes and peas just like you’d get in the restaurant but at a fraction of the cost! I may pop into Costco to get the steaks as they are always better quality for the same, if not cheaper price.

Saturday –

Chicken wraps – I am not sure at the moment whether to do fajitas or Nando’s style, so will decide a little later in the week and do what we prefer.

Sunday –

Roast – The weather is perfect for roast dinner As usual, it will probably be chicken unless the other meat is on offer as it can become so expensive. Will be with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and veg as always.

As you can see, there is nothing special or really different in this week’s meal plan. I still haven’t had a chance to sit down and write out all our favourite meals that we enjoy. I also want to spend a little time batch-making meals in the coming week for the freezer, so I am thinking of making individual cottage pies and chicken pies for example, so rather than sop brought, we know exactly what is in them. Hopefully, I can use some of my time off next week to get organised and ready for a busy few months coming up.

I’d love it if you could share some of your family’s favourite recipes below to give us a little inspiration.

I am hoping that this also provides a little inspiration to you all but don’t forget to check our previous weekly meal plan here. Alternatively, why not check out our Pinterest boards here for more inspiration or even our food blog, The Family Cookbook where we share our favourite recipes.
