Being Pregnant Meme

I was recently tagged by the lovely The Mini Mes and Me to take part in a new meme, being pregnant. Its been a while since I have done a meme & I haven’t really shared my pregnancies yet on the blog so thought it would be great fun!

THE QUESTIONS

What was your first reaction when you found out that you were/are pregnant and why do you feel you reacted in that way?

Shock! We had decided to try for a baby in the January so I finished my pill that month & the following month I was pregnant! I really did not expect it to happen that fast.

What major changes did/does being pregnant bring to your life?

There wasn’t really any major lifestyle changes. I’ve never smoked and very rarely smoke so nothing had to change there. The only think that did have to change was my work, due to Kayleigh measuring small they signed me off work 2 months before she was due, concerned that the stress of work was contributing to her being small. However she turned out a healthy 7lb 2oz 🙂

What did/do you like or enjoy about being pregnant the most?

Feeling your baby kick for the first time is just one of those magical feelings. I loved being able to lie down and enjoy time just feeling them moving around. Also I admit I just loved the whole build up to labour day, nothing more special than knowing at the end of all the hard work there is a baby coming!

What did/do you dislike the most about being pregnant?

Water infections! They were the bane of my pregnancy with Kayleigh! However I am also not keen on the stretch marks either or the tiredness. First time round you get the luxury of sleeping when your tired but with a toddler thats not an option!

What are your overall thoughts and feelings on being pregnant?

Loved every second of it, I just wish I had stopped and enjoyed it more. Especially as I’m not planning anymore children now, I wish I had taken it all in. For those of you pregnant with your first child please stop and just enjoy it. Time passes far too quick & my first pregnancy 4 years ago feels like a lifetime ago!
