Mummy vs Work: Streamline Your Life (We Use Cookies)

Our weekly meal plan – 18/11/21

Good morning and welcome to our last weekly meal plan of this term! I don’t know about you but I am ready for a break from the everyday routine, school uniform ironing and 5 am starts. It has been a long old term and I think we are all looking forward to getting to the end of the week to enjoy some much needed time off.

Last weeks meal plan was a little hit and miss, we loved the Hello Fresh meals but on the days we didn’t have them we were a little lazy. I am hoping that this week we can get back on it and into a routine.

I am also heading back on to the Slimming World today so I need to start being better with what we are cooking. Over the last few months, my eating habits have become so bad that I am just always feeling sluggish and bloated. Neither of which are ideal with my gut condition, so just before the Christmas fun roles round, I am going to try and get into better habits.

This weeks meal plan is a combination of meals we have had before and new ones, but all being made from scratch. We will be naughty this weekend though as it is Kayleigh’s birthday and there will be cake, takeaway and sweets! Then next week we have another Hello Fresh box delivery to see if we can continue the good meals that we have had recently. We are hopeful that we can create some great meals that we can add to our regular meal plans without buying the boxes, however, they are currently 30% off so I am taking advantage of that deal for now.

Our weekly meal plan - 18th November 2021

Anyway, let’s get back to what we have cooking this week.

Our weekly meal plan – 18/10/21

Monday –

Spaghetti Bolognais – I already have this in the freezer from our last bulk cook so I am having an easy start to the week this week but a delicious one.

Tuesday –

Mediterranean fish roast – This is a new dish for us but one that I am hoping is a success as I would like to add more healthy fish recipes to our diet to give us a little more variety.

Wednesday –

Chicken supreme – Again, another Slimming Worlds recipe but I love chicken supreme and I am very much looking forward to this dish.

Thursday –

Penne Arrabbiata – If you are looking for a recipe that packs a punch with lots of veggies, then this is the dish for you. I always have leftovers too which becomes lunch for me the next day.

Friday –

Scampi and chips – Not that Slimming World friendly however it is the last day of term and the day before Kayleigh’s birthday so I would like an easy meal today.

Saturday –

Takeaway – A certain young lady turns 13 today! So it is takeaway and friends over for her with a healthy helping of cake!

Sunday –

Prince Harry’s Chicken pie – This is the first of our new Hello Fresh delivery so hoping it is tasty.

Although I am back on Slimming World, it doesn’t feel like it. I know diets and plans do not work for everyone, but personally, I find that if I am on a plan I feel so much better in myself. It is all about making sure I stick to that plan though throughout the weeks until it becomes a way of life, I need to break the bad habits I have got myself into. I am really looking forward to this weeks meal plan and having some delicious meals.
