Our Weekly Meal Plan – 24th February 2025
We are back with another meal plan and back to routine as we all return to work and school after half term.
I spent a little time at the weekend writing up all of the meals we have had in the past, I’ve even categorised it based on the main ingredient. Hopefully, it will be able to give us a little variety moving forward. It is also a great starting point if we are looking to have a lower spending week or maybe even a bulk cooking week ready to stock the freezer back up.
Last week’s meal plan went to plan for the most part, we were lucky to spend some time with family over the weekend so the plan went out the window but we froze what we didn’t eat making sure nothing was wasted.

Our weekly meal plan – 24/02/25
Monday –
Spicy veggie pasta – This was such a simple dish a few weeks ago, that I used an Asda jar sauce and combined it with lots of veggies such as courgette, peppers, tomatoes etc. It is a great way to use up leftover veggies that you may have in the fridge.
Tuesday –
Air fryer tandoori chicken and rice – I am looking forward to trying these. I brought some small metal skewers to use in our air fryer so really looking forward to giving this a try and then seeing what else we are able to make using these.
Wednesday –
Shepherds pie – This is going to be one of our bulk meals cooked as I plan to make enough for dinner and then some that can go in the freezer for future meals. Although it has it all in the pie, I will add a little veg to the plate too.
Thursday –
Lemon chicken and Mediterranean vegetables – I will pop all of this in the air fryer to cook as it saves time and effort. The lemon chicken is simply marinaded in lemon juice, salt and pepper. There is nothing special done to the vegetables either, just sliced peppers, courgettes and tomatoes roasted together.
Friday –
Pizza – Most likely to be frozen but I will see how we feel on Friday!
Saturday –
Burger bar! – The Mummy Vs Work burger bar will be open, offering beef or chicken burgers in homemade buns, a selection of salads, sides and sauces. Always a winner as the kids love being able to pick their burger.
Sunday –
Stew or toad in the hole – The kids are not fans of stew so they will have toad in the hole. We will have stew with dumplings, yummy.

This week’s meals are going to be quick but delicious which is always a winner in my eyes. Next week we will see some different dishes appear and although they might seem new to the blog, they will be ones that we have enjoyed in the past.
We found our food bill really high this month and I don’t know whether it was what we brought or the price increase on food, have you noticed this? I will make sure next week that we are watching what we are ordering.
I am hoping that this also provides a little inspiration to you all but don’t forget to check our previous weekly meal plan here. Alternatively, why not check out our Pinterest boards here for more inspiration or even our food blog, The Family Cookbook where we share our favourite recipes.
