You may remember a while ago I did a post about what I dreamt of owning the most, mine was a lovely garden.
Well, we’ve finally got started!
We made the decision at the start of the year to go about getting the lower section of our garden covered with artificial grass in time for the summer. Our neighbours had used No-Mow in 2010 to have a section of their garden grassed so they were one of the first we called out, along with another 2 companies to get a quote from them.
In the end, we decided to go for No-Mow, simply because we had seen their work in our neighbours garden plus they were the most professional with the whole quotation process. No pressure was placed on us to buy from them or to buy a set grass. We were left to make the decision ourselves as to which grass we would like installed, Kayleigh was voting for the bluegrass!
So the deposit was paid (50%) and we had our garden booked in. Prior to No-Mow attending, we made a few minor alterations to the fences and gates ready for the new grass to be laid. This has helped to finish off the lower section of the garden.
Our No-Mow fitting
The day of the fitting finally arrived!
Due to the fact we needed some concreting done, we were booked in for 2 days of work. On the first day, they unloaded the material they needed and set to work with the concreting. The weather was awful but the work was completed promptly ready for the next day.
On day 2 they returned ready to lay the grass. I had a few concerns from what I was expecting to what was currently going on so they straight away rang head office & within 10 minutes they called back to talk me through it. All was resolved but I have to say this is top customer service, as with the whole way through the process, I couldn’t fault them. They started to get ready to lay the grass at about 10.30 and by 3pm the garden was completed. That included preparing the sand under the grass and laying/glueing the grass down!
I’m going to show you some before, during and after pictures. Just so you can really understand the difference this has made.
Although this is not the cheapest of options for getting our garden child friendly, it is by far the best. We have a safe play area now for the children, they can run until their hearts are content but also with 2 dogs there won’t bring any mud in the house & it will look great all year round.
One thing also I forgot to mention is there is actually a man-hole down the side of the house too, this is covered by the grass as a little cover so it’s still accessible but it blends in with the garden.
If you were looking into this but are unsure I would most defiantly say go for it! The best decision we ever made. Only one regret, that we never got it done sooner!
We received a small discount on our grass however this did not affect our decision on who we got to install our grass or our opinions of the company. These are our thoughts solely.
