Sleep – a condition of body and mind which typically recurs for several hours every night, in which the nervous system is inactive, the eyes closed, the postural muscles relaxed, and consciousness practically suspended.
That is of course if you can get any of it!
For many of us though sleep is something that we don’t get enough of regardless of how important it is. From having everyday stresses, young children or medical conditions, so many of us struggle to get enough of it. I even wrote about it back in 2015!
In our house both myself and Daddy Vs Work have struggled to get a decent night’s sleep for a long time, in fact I can’t remember the last time we both got a good night’s sleep.
I always find I either can’t switch off or get comfortable, which leads to a terrible night’s sleep. Daddy Vs Work on the other hand suffers with a bad back which he has had for years so his nights can be very restless as well as painful.
Part of the problem we have is our mattress.
Although we had a good mattress it is getting on a bit. When it first arrived it was hard (memory foam!) then it got softer over time as we used it and was so comfortable that you didn’t want to get out.
Now it has gone the other way where it is so soft, it is no longer comfortable at all.
With this in mind we have kindly been offered the chance to try out a new mattress from Simba to see how our sleep improves and if a good mattress can help Daddy Vs Work’s back pain.
Simba do a mattress called, Simba Hybrid® mattress, made with 5 layers that have been specifically designed to help get that great night’s sleep. As well as different layers which include memory foam and a hypoallergenic air flow sleep surface layer it also has 2500 patented conical pocket springs that move horizontally & vertically to help give you the best sleep possible.
They have had rave reviews on not only their site but other places too so I can’t wait to see how we get on.
So with our new Simba ready to go, I am looking forward to a good night’s sleep!
Check back in a few weeks to see how we get on with it!
In the meantime if you would like to get £50 off your new mattress simply click through this link, pop in your email and it will be sent to you!
