The shift in wedding colours for bridesmaids

Our wedding was over 2 months ago now however I still love all things that are wedding related and still find myself reading wedding stories and looking at dresses!

Recently Coast conducted a little bit of a research into the most popular colour bridesmaid dresses and surprisingly to some black, grey and silver we’re popular choices at 19%.

You always hear people saying that you shouldn’t wear black to a wedding and I’m sure these people wouldn’t expect to see the bridal party in black however their is some stunning dresses on the market right now. What I really love though is those that go with a colour scheme and mix up the bridesmaid dresses to suit this. Either with the same colour but different dress designs or with a pallet of colours, these are really popular ideas at the minute and its easy to see why, it looks beautiful.

Rock and Roll Bride have recently done a post on this, with Kat picking out some gorgeous black dressesĀ  from Coast to share with her readers and she has picked some stunning ones out.

Black, greys and silver can look beautiful in a wedding theme and can bring a touch of elegance to any wedding so don’t rule it out when planning your wedding.

I had a look on Coast’s site to pick out my favourite dress too, I went with the Lori Lee lace dress in metalic. I think it had amazing detail and I love the colour! Perfect base for any wedding colour scheme.
