Wednesday was the day I entered into my thirties, something that didn’t really bother me too much if I’m honest, I even blogged about it here.
Thinking about it though made me realise just how amazing my twenties were and how much I had crammed into them.
The year that I turned 21 saw me start a new job which gave me the experience to get the job I had now, we also got engaged that same year as well as passing my driving test .
In the following year I don’t think I have ever experienced as much stress as I did then as we started our journey into buying our home. Our first home we started buying fell through just before we were about to complete and it was devastating however the home we are in now came along and we completed the week before Christmas. House moving is stressful and not something I’d do on a regular basis!
2008 came around and was the year that our family went from 2 to 3. Kayleigh came along in autumn 2008 and everything changed, no longer was it about work or money it became about family. We learnt to adapt as a young family and looked forward to time together as a family.
In 2009 it was relatively quiet in comparison, I returned to work following my maternity leave with Kayleigh and the end of the year saw us celebrating the news of pregnancy number 2.
The middle of 2010 saw the arrival of Ethan and the completion of our family and we became a family of 4.
Since then I’ve done lots of other things that include starting this blog, taking redundancy after 8 years at my last job and starting working somewhere new where I have been for the last 18 months and had the most amazing wedding day.
There is so much more that has happened and so much more that is about to happen that I’m actually excited to see what my 30’s bring me.
One thing it has taught me though is that life is too short, if you want something you need to make sure it happens and that is exactly what I intend to do
