Taking the kids to Walt Disney World Orlando is still something I would love to do. I know they are older now however you can never be too old for Disney can you?
However, it can be a daunting prospect booking what is set to be the most amazing holiday. How do you make sure you are getting the best trip for your money without missing out on the best things to see and do?
Planning in advance is the best way for this kind of trip, getting organised by getting your Disney Orlando tickets online before you go helps not only ensure you get the best deals but it is one thing ticked off the list before you go.
I would also suggest you do a lot of reading! Read what is on and around the park, read what other families enjoyed and recommend. After all, it is so big you are not going to fit everything in on your trip.
Once you’ve read up on it all you can decide what is the best plan of attack for your family to ensure you get to see and do everything you would love to do.
For many of us through the trip may be the once in a lifetime holiday so how can you make sure you get the best out of the trip & don’t miss out on the best bits?
I asked some fellow bloggers their top tips if you are heading out there:
Fiona @ Savvy in Somerset – Flight of Passage in Animal kingdom is the most incredible ride I have ever been on and is not to be missed. Queues can be up to three hours long so it’s worth trying to get a FastPass – these can be booked at 60 days if staying on site with Disney and at 30 days if staying off-site.
Rebecca @ Becster – We went to Disney Orlando back in 2012 and we stumbled over the Finding Nemo The Musical at the Animal Kingdom… best thing I’ve ever seen! Would definitely recommend it if you’re a fan of Nemo
Kirsty @ The Money Saving Mum – Eat! Get free dining and EAT! 😉
Phil @ Parenting Phils – If you’re looking for a tip for adults on an evening too then I would recommend ‘Game Changers’ sports bar- food was nice, service great, nice and cool after a long hot day and all the sports you [dad] can watch.
Nikki @ Yorkshire Wonders – My biggest tip would be to read as much as possible before you go. There is so much to see and do and so much planning to be done beforehand it can be completely overwhelming. Many people don’t like to plan ahead but I do think to get the best out of a Disney World holiday you really need to plan. Make sure you make time to see all the parades, shows and fireworks displays too – they are marvellous!
Caitlyn @ Real Mom Recs – I blog about Disney and my best tip to first-timers would be: Don’t plan on trying to see and do it all. Disney world is enormous and trying to cram as much as you can into a day isn’t fun for anyone. Build breaks into your schedule: naps, pool breaks, sit down meals, etc. Take it at a reasonable pace and leave room for spontaneity too.
Melissa @ The Diary of a Jewellery Lover – Don’t be afraid of using coupons to save money, the Americans do it all the time. Sign up to restaurant emails 1-2 weeks beforehand to get money off coupons, the IRide trolley site has a page for discount coupons, as well as Visit Orlando and many hotels and supermarkets will have discount coupon books.
If you are heading out there soon or have just come back I would love to hear your top tips for your trip.
