23/04/2012 – Day 114

Kayleigh has been learning about different countries at school this term. They are focusing on the countries of the children in her pre-school, so last week they learnt about Italy & their snacks refelected the countries culture. This week its England. With today being St. George’s day they also had the option to get their face painted.

I will never forget this little story about Kayleigh having her face painted. She would never have it done, refused to participate at events or parties. Then she started school. She had only been there a few months or so before she split her lip and was off for a week, returning for the last day of term. With her still a little nervous about school the last thing I expected was to come out with her whole face painted as a ladybird! Since then she has loved it and is always the first one in the line!
