That’s it for another year, The Great British Bake Off has finished and we have another baking Queen taking the crown.
This means only one thing, we have now made it to the final of the Great Blogger Bake Off hosted by the lovely Jenny at Mummy Mishap’s
After watching the show I decided to attempt the technical challenge of the raspberry millefeuille as I thought my pastry skills should be enough to just scrap through this week however I was wrong.
My first attempt at these went horribly wrong so after some emergency supplies and some new baking sheets from Tesco I was ready to go again…
This time was a little bit more successful, not sure how I would have faired in the final but these are probably the hardest thing I have ever attempted to make!
The end result was actually not too bad, especially as I couldn’t find the nozzle for the piping bag (I really need to get my baking bits in some sort of order before baking again!) If you would like to try this technical challenge you can get the whole recipe over here on the BBC food website.
I’ve loved taking part in the bake off this year and hope that next year I can join in with every week, thanks Jenny for hosting the blogger bake off!
