Wise Words Wednesday with Hannah Brice

Wise Words Wednesday with Hannah Brice

I am loving our new series Wise Words Wednesday as it is introducing me to a whole host of new blogs but also introducing them to our readers.

Today I am very pleased to introduce you to Hannah. She blogs over at Feast Style Thrive, a blog bringing you all the help you need to live the life you want but with the money to do so! She also shares some yummy recipes too, just check out this recipe on how to make your own yummy chips!

Tell us a little bit about you & your blog:

I’m Hannah Brice and I’m a mum, a Director at an integrated marketing agency and a blogger! My blog FeastStyleThrive.com is about living life to the full and finding the money to do it. I’ve spent most of my career in finance so I’ve learned a lot of tricks to make money go further along the way. I believe that there are ways to save significantly on all your household bills and day to day spending so that you have more at the end of the month to spend on yourself such as Jimmy Choos!

What inspired you to start blogging?

I write a lot of web content for my job and I’ve always loved the engagement potential of social media. When I went on maternity leave, I did have a bit of spare time (although not lots!) so I thought I would give it a go and I’ve loved every minute so far.

What has been your highlight of blogging?

I think my highlight of my blogging career so far was being interviewed on Share Radio about how to save money on fashion. It gave me that validation that what I’m doing is more than just a hobby.  It’s also great when people from across the globe take the time to comment on a post I’ve written to say how it’s made them feel.

Is there anything you have learnt about blogging which you wish you knew when you started out?

So much!  It’s much harder than you think and you need to be patient. Success doesn’t happen overnight. Also, blogging is 30% writing and 70% promotion. If you’re not a fan of the latter, then maybe blogging isn’t for you.

Bloggers sometimes get a lot of stick however many work really hard and are reaping the rewards, what has been the most rewarding part of blogging for you?

My blog is still fairly new so it’s far from being financially rewarding but it is great to have so many brands contacting me to feature on Feast Style Thrive. To be seen as an influencer in such a crowded space is fantastic.

What would be your 1 tip you would give all new bloggers starting out?

Pick a blog theme that you know really well and are truly passionate about. That passion and knowledge should come through in every post you write, and trust me, you’ll need to write a lot of them!

Who do you find inspiring to read/watch in the blogging world?

Ah well of course I love to keep an eye on my fellow money bloggers’ sites and links to their websites can be found at https://ukmoneybloggers.com/ I also follow quite a lot of lifestyle and fashion bloggers here, and across the pond, as they are great for inspiration!

Lastly – do you have any big plans/dreams for your blog in the next 12 months?

I would like to have at least dipped my toe in the vlog world and I have a few number targets to hit in terms of my site’s traffic and my social media influence but we’ll see!
