Good morning and welcome back to our latest meal plan.
Firstly I want to apologise for the radio silence pretty much on the blog, I’ve been having a bit of writer’s block at the minute. I have things to say, I just can’t get the words out of my head onto paper at the minute. However, I have been blogging long enough to know this phase will pass so I don’t tend to worry too much.
Back to our meal plan, last week we didn’t really stick to it that great (not doing that great this year!). However, another week means another attempt at it!
Our meal plan – 04/02/19:
Monday –
Chilli con Carne – Nice and easy as we have this in the freezer so I just need to cook some rice.
Tuesday –
Spicy chicken flatbread with salad and sweet potatoes – Flatbread is really quick to make but delicious straight out of the pan, looking forward to this.
Wednesday –
Sausage chips and beans – Another easy meal for us today.
Thursday –
Pasta – No sure on the sauce but it will be something simple.
Friday –
Takeaway – Kids will be picking.
Saturday –
Lemon chicken and rice – I brought a new sauce a few weeks back so looking forward to trying this out.
Sunday –
Beef stew – I picked up some reduced beef last week shopping which we will use alongside lots of vegetables for a hearty stew.
Nothing fancy again this week, just simple home cooked meals (apart from Friday!). I just need to get back into the habit of trying to be a bit more creative with the meals and getting the kids trying more dishes. I just don’t have the time at the minute to do this, but I will be making time for this in the coming weeks. Even if it is just a dish at a time!
