Good afternoon and welcome back to our latest meal plan.
We are now on half term, hooray! For us it is just a week to catch up on things around the house and for me to catch up on a bit of blog work. Other than that we don’t really have a huge amount planned for this week, we are just going to see how the week pans out.
I have however decided this will be the week we will get Ethan’s eating habits back on track, he has got fussier as the weeks have gone on so it is time to get him trying out new dishes. Over the weekend I sat down with him to decide what we are going to be eating this week. There won’t be any fancy meals just yet and to be fair, lots of them are easy to make dishes. For now, though, this is all about just getting him to eat a decent size main meal, rather than picking at it.
Here are the meals he has picked out for this week:
Our meal plan – 18/02/19:
Monday –
Parmesan chicken bites & chips – We found this recipe on the Tesco website so thought we’d give it a try.
Tuesday –
Pigs in blanket toad in the hole – We never did have these last week so we are planning them again this week.
Wednesday –
Fish fingers and mini roast potatoes – Ethan loves the mini roast potatoes I do so we are having those with fish fingers and beans.
Thursday –
Tacos and wedges – The kids love tacos as they are the make their own dinner meals for them.
Friday –
Takeaway – We have friends over so it is a takeaway and relax for us.
Saturday –
Chicken wraps – Not one of Ethan’s favourites but Kayleigh loves these
Sunday –
Roast – As per usual
I’m aware there is not a lot of variety in terms of most of the meals are with potatoes of some sort, however when you are facing a bit of a battle, you make decisions at times on what battles you are going to pick and for me, this week it is not the time to battle the potatoes!
If you have a fussy eater or had a fussy eater I would love to hear how you deal with it. Neither of ours was fussy as babies however have got fussier as they have got older, thankfully both eat pretty much any fruit we give them and most vegetables so we don’t have that battle going on.
