Welcome to this week’s meal plan, I hope you are all able to enjoy a bit of the long weekend.
I’ve finally made a decision on our Musclefood order and rather than go for a hamper this time, I’ve just ordered this chicken and mince pack. I didn’t want to end up with a freezer full of items we wouldn’t really want to eat so kept it simple. However, it is not arriving till Saturday as it is easier to have a weekend delivery for us. This means that we this week to use up the last few odd bits in the freezer and just have an easy week of meals.
We are going to be looking at eating a little healthier in the evenings but keeping it simple for the kids. I did buy the Pinch of Nom cookbook too so plan to try some of these recipes out.
For now though, here is our meal plan for the week.
Our meal plan – 06/05/19:
Monday –
Pork chops, mash and beans – Simple but tasty! I always add a mixed spice to mine which is meant for chicken but tastes delicious on pork chops!
Tuesday –
Chicken and wedges – Chicken in breadcrumbs from Tesco for ease and homemade wedges.
Wednesday –
Mini toad in the holes & potatoes – The kids love these so it makes dinner a little easier.
Thursday –
Spaghetti bolognaise – Using up a portion cooked recently and frozen, batch cooking makes life a little easier.
Friday –
Fish Friday – It all depends on the fish we have in the freezer, either way, it will be easy!
Saturday –
Chicken curry – Finally getting round to getting a curry back on the menu! It is like to be Rogan, however, I may try a new recipe.
Sunday –
Roast – This will be dependant on what meat is on offer this week.
This week is a simple week. Going forward I am going to try one new menu a week on our meal plans, they won’t all be a success but I’m hoping they will help expand the kids tastes a little. Plus it is always nice to try something new! You can check out our previous meal plans here.
