For the first time in a long time, I got my big camera out and used it to capture this weeks picture. I actually took a few pictures this week mainly on my phone, so picking one, to sum up, this week has been a bit tough compared to usual.
This one picture, however, sums up a number of things in one picture. It tells the story of our children growing up, which they have shown in a few different ways this week.
Kayleigh has been busy working on her fundraiser at school. She would like to raise money for the school to purchase some playground equipment such as skipping ropes and new balls but she is also giving half to the local food bank. We always talk to the children about those who may be less fortunate than us.
We are not rich but we do have enough money each month to put food on the table and a roof over our heads and both the children understand this. So I am very proud of her for the effort she is putting into this, there will be a blog post on this next week as this wouldn’t be possible without the support of some lovely brands to help her out.
At school this week also there has been a book swap shop, children could bring in up to 3 books and swap them for up to 3 more books. Alternatively, they could bring in 50p and purchase any spare books that came in. Ethan’s class was the first class up and instead of picking himself a book he used his token to get Kayleigh a book by an author that Kayleigh really enjoys reading. He gave it to her when she got home and she loved it.
