Dear Ethan,
Happy 10th birthday!
Wow, our baby is now into double figures, where have those years gone?!
Your birthday is a bit strange this year as we are still pretty much in lockdown, even though shops etc are still opening up we are not able to meet up with family or friends yet to celebrate your day. Instead, we are having a lazy day at home filled with fun, chocolate and cake!
Over the last 12 months you have grown up so much, you have become this little person with a big heart. You can be read like a book though and you know it as you wear your personality on your sleeve. Don’t ever change though, you are caring and thoughtful towards everyone.
The last year has been tough at times as we have tried to get you a little more focused on things such as tidying up your handwriting in preparation for year 6. You are a clever little thing however if there is a way to get things done quickly, you will do so you can go off and play with your friends. You have become a lot more independent too, there is no need for me to get your fruit or lunch prepared, you can do this all on your own now. I still find my heart in my mouth when you are using a sharp knife to cut your fruit, however, I should trust you to do it safely as you know how to do it.
Fussy eating is still a bit of an issue in this house, however we are working on it and I’m sure it will be in the past soon. Especially when you are helping to prepare dinner!
Have the most amazing day sweetheart.
Lots of love,
Mummy, Daddy & Kayleigh
