Good morning and welcome to our first meal plan of August, where has the month gone.
The months are flying by and with the current situation, it seems like life is just passing by without much of a chance to do anything about it! We are all just making the best of the current situation I think.
Last weeks meal plan was a little better, we stuck to it most days and on the day we didn’t, we had pasta or something out of the freezer. This is why some meals are back on the menu this week as we never got round to having them last week.
Going forward we are trying to make Friday a takeaway night with a movie for the whole family. It has been easy during lockdown to do our own thing and we have found we have spent less time as a family. As things get busier with everyone returning to work and school we want to make sure we spend at least some time together away from phones and computers, which is why Friday night becomes family night.
This weeks meal plan is going with some family favourites that we can enjoy, whilst minimal fuss in making the meals!
Our meal plan – 03/08/20
Monday –
Chicken tikka masala – Easy to make but tasty.
Tuesday –
Toad in the hole – One of the kid’s favourites!
Wednesday –
Pork chops & mash – Yum yum.
Thursday –
Pizza – From the freezer but an easy meal.
Friday –
Takeaway – Friday family night.
Saturday –
Chicken salad – Going for a slow cooker chicken and salad as the weather heats up again!
Sunday –
Fish and potatoes – This was lovely last week so looking forward to it again.
I’m looking forward to some tasty home-cooked meals this week but also our family Friday movie night. It might not seem much but a night off cooking and just chilling with the family is much needed at times.
