Autumn is well and truly here, the weather has changed and the darker mornings and nights are here.
So that means out goes the shorts and vest tops and in comes the knitted cardigans and comfortable trousers, if you are like me though and have a minimal winter wardrobe, Cotton Traders are here to help.
Cotton Traders have been around for 35 years and over the years the brand has changed and adapted, to the ever-changing market that we now live in. Now I know what you may think, it’s an older person’s brand and you may have been right a few years ago but that is not the case any more.
With well-known celebrities Alex Jones and Will Melor on board to bring out their new ranges, the different style options now offered on the site appeal to so many more than they may have done 5 years ago.
I have kindly been gifted some of the items from the new Alex Jones range and I have been seriously impressed by the quality of the items received. For transparency, I have never bought from Cotton Traders before and it was probably never on my raider originally however I am happy to admit when I am wrong.
Cowl neck knitted tunic – £39.00
Out of all the items I received, this is by far my favourite item. I have been teaming it up with my jeans and Uggs for the perfect Autumnal outfit for days out. You could switch it up a little with some nice boots for an evening meal out.
Its chunky knit is perfect to wear on its own, however, on the chillier days, it is perfect to pop a vest top on underneath for the extra layer. I have this in wheat however the emerald one looks great as well.
Check Jersey Pull-On Midi Skirt – £38.00
If you are looking for something a little more autumnal for work or maybe even for a nice evening out, this skirt is gorgeous.
Teaming it up with some nice boots and a cosy white or cream roll-neck jumper for the perfect outfit. It is a great length too which means that you are still warm and cosy whilst looking great for a day out. It has an elasticated waistband too which makes it easy to get on and off.
Longline Cable Cardigan – £45.00
This cardigan is the ultimate comfort when it comes to a chunky knit cardigan. It is unbelievably soft but long in the body and the arms, which is perfect for even me at 5ft 9in!
I have been teaming this with some cream tartan trousers for work and it is the perfect wear in this weather.
I’m such a fan of this cardigan that I plan to get it in blush pink also, as it is great for wearing with jeans on days when we are not at work.
