Dear Ethan,
Happy 12 birthday!
It seems just like yesterday that I was writing your last birthday letter, but here we are again already and you are 12 now. The years are passing by so quickly and you have gone from being a baby to a little boy to now a teenager.
So much has happened over the last year as you have now transitioned into high school and that is a pretty big and scary jump. As always though, you have taken it in your stride and I am sure you are getting ready for the teenage years, as when we ask how was your day, you always reply “it was good” and then not a lot else!. High school has been a bit of a learning curve as the workload has ramped up a lot and then there is the whole host of subjects that you get to learn. Some of which you are loving, others not so much, however, you are giving them all a good go.
Not much has changed in your favourite things to do, you are still a big gamer and spend time online with friends playing games. This year though we have been lucky to be able to attend some football games together, you might not love football as much as I do, but you still take time to come and watch some of the games with me. I’m sure it is for the hotdog at halftime, but I am going to say it’s because you want to come along.
I’m sure this year will fly by just as quick as the last, so make the most of every second of it and you just carry on being you, don’t let anyone change that!
Lots of love
Mummy & Daddy xx
