With Halloween just around the corner, we have been back in the kitchen creating some fun Halloween treats. This week we have decided to get back in the kitchen to create some spooky Halloween treats.
Now firstly, these take just a few ingredients to create and not a lot of effort to make. So they make the perfect afternoon make with the kids. They can also be turned into whatever spooky design you like, depending on how creative you can get.
For us, we thought we would go with some simple mummy-style treats however if you have any Halloween themed cookie cutters these would work just as well. The same goes for decorations too, it is Halloween so you can go with whatever spooky decorations you may have in your home!
Halloween Rice Krispie treats

- Mix the melted gooey mixture into the Rice Krispies and pour into the lined tray
- Press this down in the tray, this is slightly easier to do when it is a little cooler

- Once it has almost set, tip this out on a chopping board and cut this into equal squares
- Place this back in the fridge for another 10 minutes to firm up

- Dip the squares in the melted chocolate and put back on a greased tray back in the fridge to set
- Decorate as you want to
These are so easy to make but the perfect treat. They have fast become a family favourite in our house and are so easy to make. There is also in the perfect cupboard treat as all the items can be found in most kitchens! Even more so, you are able to change the design of these depending on the event. So with Christmas coming around, you can even get creative for some festive treats.
If you give these a go, I would love to know how you get on with them. Another great idea for Halloween is these spooky-looking crispy marshmallow eyeballs, they look super fun.
