It’s time for another weekly meal plan and we are back on track with it completely! However, I’m not saying the kids are completely on board as we are trying out some new dishes. I really enjoyed the new dishes we have tried recently and I am looking forward to trying some more out this week.
I am not being completely mean though, there are some of the kid’s favourite dishes on the menu this week.
We have also made the decision to cut back on our weekly takeaways. There will still be a treat night, but this will be ordered in with the shopping and cooked at home. This is mainly in an attempt to save money but also trying to be a little healthier.
Our meal plan – 08/02/21
Monday –
Toad in the hole – It has been a while since I made this, plus it is a favourite in this house.
Tuesday –
Lamb, rosemary and sweet potato pie – This is from Pinch of Nom, so looking forward to trying this,
Wednesday –
Chicken chow mein – It is Chinese New Year, so I plan to celebrate with this delicious dish from Pinch of Nom again.
Thursday –
Spaghetti bolognaise – Still using up the food that I batch cooked a few weeks ago.
Friday –
Pizza – Kids favourite and easy dinner for me.
Saturday –
Burger and chips – We are going to have some nice burgers and chunky chips.
Sunday –
Pork chops, mash and vegetables – Yummy!
This week is a combination of family favourites combined with those new dishes. I know they might not all be successful, I’m just hoping the kids start to expand their tastebuds a little more.
