Our weekly meal plan – 27/07/20

Good morning and welcome back to this weeks meal plan, I’m not sure about where you are, however, here the weather for the summer holiday is pretty wet!

Our homemade pizzas were nice last week, we cheated and brought the pizza base mix from Tesco, so we just needed to make and kneed the mix before we added our toppings and baked. They were a nice change but I’m not sure they were much cheaper than buying a frozen pizza, to be honest. The kids had fun making them though so that is always a winner.

This week I’m not sure they are really interested in cooking dinner, however, I am going to put some previously unsuccessful meals back on the menu and try them again. Ethan’s level of fussiness has stepped up and he needs to start opening up his choices again a little. He knows he is fussy, but we are now starting to go backwards!

Here is our meal plan for the week:

Our meal plan – 27/07/20

Monday –

Tacos – The kids call these picky dinners as they can add as much or as little they like to the tacos. For me, clear plates are a winner.

Tuesday –

Macaroni cheese – Last time I made this it got mixed reviews (not from me!) so I’m going to give it another try today.

Wednesday –

Pork chops, chips and beans – Quick but delicious.

Thursday –

Salmon, new potatoes and vegetables – One thing I don’t struggle to get Ethan to eat is fish and vegetables.

Friday –

BBQ – Warmest day of the week (supposedly!) so we are having a BBQ!

Saturday –

Chicken Fajitas – This is Kayleigh’s favourite meal, one of mine too!

Sunday –

Toad in the hole – I’m not sure if I am making mini toad in the holes or a family size one, however, this will be popular.

I’m looking forward to this week’s meals, there is a nice variety in there for a change!
