*Review* Nourished vitamins

Since the lockdown started in the UK I have been switching from being super healthy and working out to the other end of the scale where I have been eating so much cake, we were fit to pop! I am now at the point though where I am in the middle, everything in moderation and balance, however, I always worry that I am not getting enough of the right vitamins and minerals needed.

I was recently offered the chance to review some Nourished vitamins, who launched in the UK in October 2019. However, these are not your usual vitamins, each of their vitamins can be printed to your needs.

Yes, you read that right, these vitamins are 3D printed, combining 7 ingredients specific to your needs into a stack. Each stack is then wrapped and delivered to your door. For your stack to be personalised, on their website they have a short quiz that allows them to make recommendations of vitamins and superfoods based on their lifestyle and goals. Each stack is printed on-demand, using vegan and sugar-free ingredients, all packed into plastic-free packaging.

What is in my Nourished vitamins stack?

My stacks included the following:

  • Maca Powder
  • Ginseng
  • Careflow™ Mango Powder
  • LactoSpore® Probiotic
  • Selenium
  • Cordyceps
  • Lycopene

Each ingredient is in the stack to provide me with something different all based on my quiz. Lots of nutrients to boost the immune system, body functions and all-around give me a little boost.

I was unsure what these would be like if I am honest. Firstly, they are printed, how nice can something be that is printed? Then there is the fact they have so many different ingredients, all tasting completely different. However, I was pleasantly surprised! If I didn’t know they were printed, I would never have guessed. The flavour of my stack was lovely and sweet, it tastes absolutely fine.

I’ve tried these out for a month now and have noticed a difference during that time. During the lockdown, my sleep has been all over the place and my IBS has flared up a few times. Some of this is down to stress, some down to diet and the rest was down to lifestyle.

These vitamins combined with a few smarter choices have enabled me to get a bit of balance back into my life. My symptoms have started to lift and I feel a bit more normal all around. My energy levels and sleep are returning to a more normal level and I feel like I have got a bit of balance back into my body.

Over the past month, I have noticed an improvement in so many areas, I can only put some of this down to the vitamins combined with a healthier lifestyle. Going forward I think I would stick with the personalised vitamin option from Nourished vitamins rather than the off the shelf version, I feel this is just better suited for my body. It is not the cheapest option at £39 a month, however, if you are looking after your body, it is worth sometimes investing in the right areas.
