We are very lucky to be part of the Asmodee UK – Blogger Board Game Club and have received some great games through the post to try out.

Most of the time I will be honest they are games that we have never heard of or ones that we may not have picked up in the shop had we seen them however they have become firm favourites such as Carcassonne and Ticket to Ride.

In our latest bundle, we received Bananagrams to try out. Earlier in the year we tried out Bananagrams Junior to review however the kids are getting a bit bigger and smarter, so this game is the next step up for them to test out their spelling skills.

This word game is fast-paced but also great fun!

Your aim is to get all your letters into a word grid before your opponents.

Now I work in finance for a reason, my maths is stronger than my English skills however it is a great game for the whole family.

We encourage the kids to start with smaller words that they can see and build out from there. There have been times where they have got a little frustrated however we have been practising and you can see an improvement in them too.

It has been great to encourage them to think outside of the box and try to spell words they may not quite know the spelling of.

This game is great for the whole family and is one that will evolve over time but also as the kids English expands, they are learning to read, write and understand more words every week and this is a great game to test them out on.

I love this game as it is quick to set up and play but compact to put it all away. Simply pop all the tiles back in the banana case and it is packed away and ready to go again.

We have been gifted this game, however, all thoughts and opinions are our own.
